professional development

The Romberg Tiburon Center is committed to sharing our research and scientific expertise with educators and science professionals in the community.  We offer two separate professional development programs, our Workshops for Educators and our Wetland Science Series.

Workshops for Educators
Coastal Ecology Day and Estuarine Ecology Day, free workshops for educators, are scheduled in the spring and fall. These professional development workshops are offered in partnership with the SF Bay NERR, and are funded by the NOAA.  The RTC Outreach Coordinator and the Education Coordinator of the SF Bay NERR lead both workshops.  Please contact Erin Blackwood or Sarah Davies for more information.
Wetland Science Series
The Wetland Science Series is designed for agency scientists and decision makers.  Classes in this program can be used to meet requirements of the Professional Wetland Science Certification Program offered by the Society of Wetland Scientists.
