Seeking teams to compete in 2010 Sea Lion Bowl

Northern California high schools are encouraged to form teams to compete in the 2010 Sea Lion Bowl, to be held at San Francisco State University on Saturday, March 6.

Teams will compete in several rounds of “Jeopardy”-style buzzer questions in all disciplines of ocean sciences, along with “Team Challenge” questions that require teamwork and written answers. The top four teams will receive awards, and the winning team will receive an all-expense-paid trip to the National Competition in St. Petersburg, FL in April. In addition, the team that exhibits the best sportsmanship will receive a special Sportsmanship Award. One room may be set aside for additional “B” teams from some schools to participate in a mini “junior varsity” competition.

For an application packet or for questions, contact Erin Blackwood at erinb@rtc.sfsu.edu or 415-338-3757.
