A multi-year, $3.4 million construction project has just been completed (March 2007) and has greatly improved the infrastructure for research and education at the Center. This initiative was funded through a combination of private foundation awards (W.M. Keck Foundation, Marin Community Foundation and The Goldman Fund), federal monies awarded to the RTC/NERR programs, and unanimous support from our Board of Advisors and private donors. The capital project provided many long overdue improvements and attracted recent private contributions totaling $200,000. We continue to expand and improve upon our state of the art facilities and suite of scientific research equipment, but we can only do so with your support.

Any and all contributions, regardless of size, are welcome, and play an important role in the success of the Center. Here are just a few ways to support our mission – and make a real difference in guiding the restoration and stewardship of our San Francisco Bay and similar bodies of water around the world.

Annual Gifts - You can make quarterly, semi-annual or annual gifts to the Center by check or credit card.

Matching Gifts - You may be able to double your gift if your company has a matching gift program. Simply include a completed, signed matching gift form from your company, along with your contribution. We’ll take care of the rest.

Bequests - Include the Romberg Tiburon Center in your will or estate plan, and leave a legacy for future generations.

Charitable Remainder Trusts - You can convert highly appreciated assets such as real estate or securities to a charitable remainder trust, receive income for life or a term of years, without incurring capital gains tax when the asset is sold. When the trust terminates, the remainder will benefit the Romberg Tiburon Center for years to come.
